I've been working in Canmore on and off for about a year, often driving up and down Railway Ave. I’d noticed Elita Restaurant before, but today I finally stopped in—and I’m glad I did. Parking was easy, and as soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a clean, inviting atmosphere with soft classical music setting the tone. The menu offered a diverse mix of cuisines, not just Mexican as I’d initially thought. The chef even came out to greet us, explaining that he’s worked in several countries, embracing food from around the world. This restaurant feels like an extension of his vision and international culinary journey. We ordered the Vegan Thai Salad with extra tofu, the Chicken and Buffalo Fajita, and the Curry Chicken. I requested extra spice, which they happily accommodated. For drinks, we chose green tea and water. Every dish was outstanding, with flavors that were distinct and clearly crafted with care. Unlike many places that offer mixed cuisines, each plate at Elita had its own unique flavor profile, and everything tasted freshly made. To finish, we were gifted a slice of homemade cake. You could tell it was crafted with natural ingredients, just like everything else we enjoyed. If you’re in Canmore, don’t miss the chance to stop by Elita. It’s a hidden gem. Thank you, Corey Lancaster
