I've had Persian Kebab in many restaurants over the years in Edmonton but in my opinion Lotus House of Kebab & Grocery is by far the best. This is my favorite Kebab place in all of Edmonton. Not only do you get delicious food but also the warm hospitality is inviting. We just visited for my birthday and it was amazing. All my friends were impressed and happy with their food and welcoming atmosphere. Their customer service is excellent as always. Thank you Mr. Behnam. We will definitely be back. ❤️🙏

From the décor to the gentle hum of conversation, the setting feels both welcoming and true to its roots. Another plus is that all meat served is halal, and no alcohol is available, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions. They also offer vegetarian options, catering to a wider range of diners. Customer Service Service at Lotus House had both strengths and areas for improvement. While the staff was generally attentive, my initial server was not very accommodating when I requested some modifications to my order. Rather than being flexible, he seemed insistent on doing things his way, which made the interaction feel somewhat rigid. Ben ended up serving us, which improved the experience. He was very welcoming and constantly checked in on guests throughout the restaurant, ensuring that everyone was having a great dining experience. His attentiveness added a warm and personal touch to the service. On a scale of 1 to 10, I’d rate the service a 7.5—room for improvement, but still a respectable effort. Waiting Time for Food Our food arrived in 20 minutes, which is a reasonable wait time for freshly prepared dishes. After our meal, we were served complimentary green tea 5 minutes later, which was a nice touch to end the dining experience. Taste The food at Lotus House stays true to Persian flavors. Some standout elements included: • Koobideh kebab (lamb kabab) – Slightly gamey but still moist and flavorful. • Joobideh kebab (chicken kabab) – Very moist with a depth of flavor. The saffron is distinct, adding richness and warmth to every bite. • Salad – Fresh and well-balanced. The pink dressing, made from pomegranate, red cabbage, and beets, was light and refreshing, complementing the meal without overpowering it. • Rice – Fluffy and well-cooked, not overly oily. Ben also provides butter on the side for those who prefer a richer taste. Final Thoughts Lotus House offers a great balance of authentic flavors, affordability, and a welcoming ambiance. While the service could be more polished, the quality of the food makes up for it. Ben’s warm hospitality and attentiveness to all guests add a personal touch that enhances the experience.
