The Halal Butcher

I recently purchased meat from your store, but unfortunately, the quality was very disappointing. The package contained a large amount of bone with very little actual meat. Additionally, the internal organs of the ram did not appear fresh — they seemed previously frozen, possibly sourced from a supermarket and resold as fresh. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it will be taken seriously and that better quality control will be applied going forward.

First time at this shop and the staff is so knowledgeable, attentive and their recommendations sure made my family dinner a success! The marinades are unique and can’t find them anywhere!

Here's what you should know. Their meat products are amazing. I just finished eating bone in chicken thighs and they were great. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A MUSLIM TO EAT HALAL MEAT! If you like saving money and supporting local, then buy meat from The Halal Butcher. I did a comparison price shop after I got home and their prices were at or below Walmart and Superstore. Only in one instance did I find they were higher priced (by under a dollar which is not a deal breaker). But here's the thing, much of the halal meat in the big supermarkets is sourced from outside of Canada including the US (boo), so if you eat meat and want to support local (Halal Butcher and the farm where their meat supply comes from), want to save money, and show your support for BC and Canada generally, then stop by and see these folks. Friendly, helpful, willing to accommodate requests and if you order in advance, they will have it ready for you! 100% recommend! :)
