Finally a great place in the lower mainland where a poutine tastes like real poutine and the shawarma chicken does not have bits and pieces of chicken skins or uncooked fat. We really enjoyed

The chicken was completely dry on the platter; it was like jerky. Most of the items were very sour. We thought two platters would be enough for two people and asked for a container for takeout; the server didn’t even hesitate to charge us. At the very least, servers should be aware of what makes them good at their job.

There was something unusual about the flavour of everything. The food tastes very different from other places I've been to, almost like other spices were used or there wasn't enough salt. So, I didn't particularly care for the big portion size. One thing I did enjoy is how the falafel is fried fresh and not dry. I've been to other places and I've seen them microwave it before serving it to me. Also, I liked the potatoes, though I found the addition of potatoes with the rest of the platter to be confusing and like it was from another restaurant altogether, specifically continental. As you can see, I got take out but I would not mind dining in as the place looks old-fashioned yet cozy. Regarding the service, it was okay, nothing memorable. Other than that, I would not return here again as it didn't satisfy my expectations of Middle Eastern food. However, I'm glad I got to try this place once.
