What people say about (Taste of Karachi)

Sara Tariq

A quaint place with good flavours. The murals really uplifted the ambience. The biryani was quite spicy (exactly what we asked for). We enjoyed the roti with the chana masala. Lassi was not overly sweet, well chilled, and refreshing. The gulab jamuns were my favourite, piping hot, soft with loads of pistachios. Great value for money. Overall a good place to try karachi flavours and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Went for a dinner on March 31, 2023. They opened a month ago and I saw that everyone is working hard to fulfill their duties. We ordered Tandoori chicken, Chicken Tikka, Seekh kebab, Naan and tea. Food made fresh and was tasteful. Few points for improvement Noticed that three off duty staff was stilling in dining room and very casually chitchatting about personal stuff just beside paying customers. Looks very unprofessional. Place is very small to begin staff should not use area a staff room. Seekh kebab was very soft almost like minced beef, I don’t believe it was prepared on BBQ rod. Prices are on higher side for the portion they serve. On google maps I noticed that Management responded to positive comments only which is not professional. Either you don’t respond any or respond to all. Some positive All the staff we came into contact was very friendly. Met owner of the business who explained the future plans. They definitely need to work hard to get this place up and running.

A new eatery on McPhillips , chanced on it , were happy that we gave it a try. The servers was walk and welcoming , the owner whom we met much later , was very sweet , happy to get a honest review and work on the weak point. The food portions were not family size , didn’t matter to us as we had ordered couple of items. The taste was like home cooked food. The dal could do with a bit of improvement. The desserts were just ok , would like them to have a few more options , more so Pakistani desserts. Would come back again to have the home made style rotis, also just to support a new business.
