What people say about (Taj Mahal Restaurant Indien)

Esther Fishwick

Just had a fabulous meal , the food was hot and very flavourful.

Decent variety of offers, a couple of good menus as well, prices are alright. The service was very friendly and fast. Sadly my meat in the lamp dish wasn't of a very good quality, but everything else was very tasty and fresh.

The gentleman who served me was polite and friendly to deal with. This low mark has nothing to do with the service. Unfortunately though, the food. It was terrible. The so called Dahl Soup was a bland yellow watery liquid with a quarter lemon floating in it and nothing but old rice swimming around in the bottom of it, nothing else in it whatsoever. The Butter Chicken ( which surprisingly, tasted the same as the soup, of absolutely nothing) was again a watery liquid with a handful of small dry tough pieces of diced chicken in it. As for the cheese naan, it had french soft cheese inside, not a good Indian cheese. I respect I am in France but I wasn't in a French restaurant, I wanted good Indian food. I was sorely disappointed with what seemed like frozen/reheated food and over priced for the quality. I had a take away which I actually went through the trouble to return it to the restaurant. The owner was somewhat displeased and begrudgingly gave me back 10€ which wasn't half of the cost. Bland slop. I won't even give it the honour of calling it Indian food. Just because its run by our Indian brothers it doesn't make it Indian food. Save your money guys.
