A sweet locally owned business! I tried Beriut Express for the first time when I had them cater to an evening meeting I was hosting. They have a nice menu with a variety of items to choose from. I loved learning that everything was gluten free besides a couple of items which made it easier for some of the participants. Everything was delicious and their garlic sauce was amazing!!

I had high hopes when I walked into this place, lured in by the tantalizing scent of grilled meat and spices wafting through the air. The menu looked promising, and the sizzling sounds from the kitchen stirred a primal hunger within me. So imagine my disappointment when what should have been a satisfying experience took a turn for the disastrous. Let’s begin with the shawarma — or rather, the chaotic mess that was handed to me under the guise of one. It was wrapped so carelessly, so haphazardly, that the moment I unwrapped it, the entire bottom gave way. In an instant, a torrent of oil and sauce came gushing out like a breached dam, cascading down onto my shorts with cruel precision. Not a few drops — an avalanche. I stood there, stunned, clutching what remained of the wrap while my clothes absorbed the culinary carnage. The oil soaked through the fabric like it had a vendetta, leaving a permanent stain and a deep sense of betrayal. The flavors, though somewhat decent, were hard to enjoy while sitting in damp, greasy clothing that clung to my skin like a shameful reminder of what could have been a great meal. I am giving an extra star — and only an extra star — because, to their credit, they did offer me a complimentary piece of chicken while I waited. It was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, a brief flicker of culinary competence in an otherwise frustrating ordeal. It was a small gesture, but one that at least suggested someone in the kitchen knew what they were doing. But a sample does not excuse sloppiness. A simple shawarma wrap should not be a trap. The execution failed the experience, and for that, my patience — and my shorts — paid the price.
