Probably the best culinary dining experience we had while visiting Halifax. While the restaurant itself is outside the city centre it is definitely worth the drive out. It's an unpretentious but tasteful space with a straightforward ordering process. Everything from the incredibly kind and helpful server to the delicious food was top notch, especially considering how affordable the prices are. Highly highly recommend to anyone looking for really satisfying meal and cozy atmosphere.

Went here for a friend’s birthday. There was 15 of us. The lamb was delicious and fall off the bone, wish we got more lamb because there was a lot of rice. We got complimentary dessert with nuts and dates. The Yemen bread was very large. All in all, the lamb was my favourtie part and the service was amazing!

Oh my goodness this place was such a pleasant surprise of a find! Very pleasant music, simple yet clean ambiance, nice music, and most importantly really delicious food, great portion size and nice price! Three of us got the chicken and lamb rice plates plus a bean dish called foul and two giant breads. Next time I'll go I get the larger chicken dish to share for a family with side dishes. The giant pieces of bread for $2.50 each they are crisp, delicious and warm. I know there are a lot of places to eat in Bayer's Lake but I'm not a fan of many of them. I will definitely be back!
