This is a Bancroft classic. One must experience going through the tiny door on the way in to the restaurant. The fish batter is so crispy, light, and delectable. They have great tasting sea salt and vinegar at every table. The dock behind the restaurant gives visitors a great view of the York River. there is picnic table outdoor seating and indoor seating with a view of the hawks upon Eagles Nest.
Visiting Bancroft for the rally and decided to stop in here for lunch. The lady taking our order was friendly and walked us through the menu. We ordered coconut shrimp, fish tacos, and two separate orders of the York fish and chips. The food was soo good, we were all raving about it to each other. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The view was nice. The music was good. I highly recommend.
