Yummy Souvlaki's name had me excited, but unfortunately, the experience left me wanting more. The gyros, a cornerstone of Greek cuisine, was a major letdown. Instead of the expected slices of seasoned meat, it was just ground meat. This completely changed the texture and taste, leaving it bland and unappetizing. The salad seemed like an afterthought, drowning in dressing and featuring overly sour pickles that overpowered any other flavours. The chicken shawarma dinner, while not offensive, suffered from dryness. The restaurant's decor added to the confusion. It felt like a jumble of styles, possibly leftover from a previous tenant (maybe African?). It certainly didn't create a welcoming Greek atmosphere. The biggest turnoff might have been the dessert display case. The baklava, a classic Greek pastry, looked parched and unappetizing. Overall, they missed the mark on both food and ambiance. With just a bit more attention to authenticity and presentation, they could potentially live up to their name.
