Mad Ox BBQ

Fantastic experience! It was our first time dining here and our server Thais was amazing and walked us through their menu recommending what to try for our first visit. We got the Beef Birria Tacos to start and they were absolutely incredible! The Smokey consommé was fantastic, really flavourful. We also got the Beef Back Ribs & El-Paso Smoked & Roasted Chicken with Strawberry Mint Margaritas, all of which were great. Overall great food and excellent service!

Pricey but exceptional quality! It's rare to come across a premium halal stakeholder, but This was my first time going to Mad Ox and I was blown away by how delicious everything was. I came here with a group of 4 men and we ordered a BBQ meat platter. It came with a large serving of ribs, brisket, chicken breast and lamb skewers. The ribs were so incredibly flavorful, where meat was falling off the bones. Those were by far one of my favorite. The brisket was also very tender and had a thick layer of fat, which you can ask to be removed. The sauces offered at this restaurant are also very yummy and not your regular ketchup or mayo, rather you can find high quality flavors here! One area which I feel like the restaurant can improve on is to provide tap water. Having to purchase water for $8 a bottle is not fair, having glasses for water is something that should be expected at all restaurants. Other than this, the washrooms and the restaurant itself is super clean. I enjoy the atmosphere and I think it would be a perfect place to take someone out on a special occasion like a birthday.

Great Southern style food. Love the range of sauces. Unfortunately sauces and bottled water is charged for. The water issue is a particular concern as the restaurant does not offer alcoholic beverages and thus only offers pop juices and water all at a fee. They do not serve tap water or glasses of table water. They have some of the best cornbread I have ever tasted in my life. And I have been in the southern us and across a lot of barbecue restaurants.
