What people say about (Sagarmatha Curry Palace Restaurant-Authentic Indian & Nepalese Cuisine)

I started coming here over 15 years ago. The owner said they have been opened for 15years so I guess I’ve been coming here since it opened. It’s a staple of Hamilton. They have a traditional tandoor oven and the tandoori chicken tikka and vindaloo, madrash curry chicken, lamb, fish, vegetable, shrime, to spicy and very fumus this restaurant is to die for! We didn’t have it today but chose to do a meal combo for two. It was delicious!! I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving real authentic Indian food made in a traditional tandoor oven that we brought her from India.

Wonderful food, at an adorable family run restaurant. The chutneys with our apps were fresh and flavourful and a beautiful colour. My partner and I both enjoyed our veg thali platters immensely. Great portions, and very distinct rich flavours in each dish. I would not have said no to a little more spice in some of the dishes but I didn’t ask for spicy so that’s on me. The naan was wonderful, brushed with a liberal amount of butter/ghee making it extra rich, a lot of places don’t go to that much trouble. The samosa and bajhi were also great, a little different than the classic style, clearly with some Nepalese influence, but both were wonderful. I will definitely be back! My whole family had a great time. The only feedback I would give would be to fix up a few little things. The baby seat had a broke buckle for instance. It still was useable but another parent might have been uncomfortable. The shelves displaying decorations had a thin layer of dust and I would also deep clean the back hallway and washrooms. It’s clear they clean and keep things tidy, but shutting down for a day for a deep clean would make a world of difference. 8.5/10
