TLDR: The boneless fried chicken is a basket of 6 small, yet crunchy and flavorful, pieces of chicken. They sit on top of some Costco-esque fries and can be accompanied by a decent selection of sauces. Overall, not too bad to spend your money on. Korean fried chicken is one of my favorite meals to get. When I saw bang bang at Pickering town centre, I was excited, skeptical, and curious all at the same time. Now, reviewing this under the premise that this is a fast food spot in a local mall, I'll try not to be too critical in my critique. Menu wise, they have a small but decent menu. For me, however, I decided to keep it simple and go with the boneless fried chicken. The cashier was friendly and helpful, answering any questions that I had. For the fried chicken, they had a fairly decent selection of sauces, for me, I went with the bang bang secret sauce which the cashier said was sweet but spicy. Food came out fresh and piping hot! The fried chicken sits on top a small bed of fries, all for around $17 tax in. Main review: The chicken pieces are quite small, there are six in total and they are chicken thighs. The breading is not bad at all. It was crunchy and even without sauce it has good flavor. The meat was moist and not dry whatsoever. Although small, it was quite delicious. The bang bang "secret" sauce is basically sweet Thai chili sauce which you can get at any Asian supermarket; definitely not very secret! The original sauce tastes like a honey mustard sauce with a bit of BBQ in it; it's not bad. The fried that the chicken comes with tastes and looks like Costco fries (that's either a good thing or a bad things depending on your viewpoint). Overall, pretty decent experience. I wouldn't say I was "wowed" by any means, but I would most likely buy from here again.
