What people say about (Indi-Go Rasoi Westfield Stratford)

Alphonse Mathew Sudhir

Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience at this so-called "restaurant"! If I could give zero stars, I would. We specifically, repeatedly, and emphatically ordered TWO LARGE PANEER WRAPS. What did we get? Chicken tikka. CHICKEN! My elderly mother-in-law, who is vegetarian, was left with absolutely nothing to eat. We were relying on this takeaway, and by the time we realised the monumental error and got home, it was too late to order from anywhere else. So, thanks to this culinary catastrophe, she went hungry. Completely unacceptable. And that's not even the full extent of the disaster. The samosa chaat was beyond pathetic – a soggy, flavourless mess. As for the pani puri, the so called golguppa explosion (the guy who named the dish has to get his eyes checked) has to be exploded along with the restaurant… well, let's just say the pani suspiciously looked like gutter water. Yes, you read that right. GUTTER WATER. I'm not even exaggerating. It was truly disgusting. While the staff were superficially friendly, their smiles did absolutely nothing to compensate for the truly appalling food. Friendly service doesn't excuse serving the wrong order, especially when dietary requirements were clearly communicated. Honestly, the chef needs to go back to culinary school and learn the difference between paneer(Malai as mentioned on the bill) and chicken, and perhaps take a course on basic hygiene while they're at it. This place is a joke, and I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs!

Dear Indi.go Rasot, if I am going to spend £21.20 on hunters lamb chops and pilau rice, you should be nice enough to not burn my lamb chops. We all already know that lamb chops doesn’t have as much meat, but over cooking it until it’s burnt and dry (no meet juice) and then serving it is awful, the entire meal tasted bitter because of the burnt ashes on the lamb chops. It was so bad I had to ask for chilli oil from Mrs Chew’s to make the meal taste OKAY! I can never return to your restaurant to buy anything because this entire experience was awful.

Disappointing Experience at Indi-Go Rasoi, Westfield Stratford As a long-time regular at this branch, I was appalled by the dismal experience during my visit on January 3rd, 2025. Indi-Go Rasoi has always been a go-to spot for us, with my usual order being the murg shashlik and my partner’s the murg butter makhani. However, this time, both the quality and, more shockingly, the quantity of the food were utterly unacceptable. My partner’s murg butter makhani was nothing more than a plate of dry rice and what can only be described as tomato soup—completely devoid of chicken. It was insulting. Meanwhile, my murg shashlik consisted of a measly four tiny pieces of chicken—smaller than IKEA meatballs. The portion looked more like an appetizer than a meal. When I approached the till employee and the manager, assuming there had been a mistake, I was met with an even more shocking response. The manager stated that if we wanted a proper meal rather than a snack, we should order two tandoori plates! Since when did Indi-Go Rasoi become a tapas restaurant? I have photos that corroborate this disgraceful experience, and I can confidently say this is my farewell review. For a restaurant I once held in such high regard, the service and food have become absolutely shameful. I would no longer recommend this place to anyone.
