The most appalling customer service experience I’ve ever had. I walked into this store asking for help with some sushi. As someone of Indian origin who isn’t familiar with sushi, I was simply looking for guidance. Instead, the lady at the front cash treated me with blatant disrespect, her tone and body language were demeaning, and her attitude was nothing short of obnoxiously racist. She dismissed me in a way that made me feel like an unwelcome outsider, as if I didn’t belong there or didn’t deserve her time. I wasn’t rude or demanding. I work in the restaurant industry myself, so I understand pressure and customer flow. But this was a quiet Tuesday evening at 6:05 PM. There was no excuse for such behaviour. I left feeling humiliated and deeply hurt. This wasn’t just poor service, it was discriminatory and degrading. I strongly urge management to address how staff are trained to treat customers of all backgrounds. No one should have to experience this.
