Restaurant Birdhouse Wingerie & Bar Dollard-des-Ormeaux

I had very high expectations for this place after reading the reviews and seeing how nice it looked. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the staff 🙏🏼 they were incredibly kind and attentive. As for the food, it was average. You even have to pay extra for blue cheese or ranch sauce for your wings because it’s “homemade,” yet it tasted like nothing. A lot of people rave about the bone marrow poutine, so I figured for $18, it must be something special, right? Sadly, it just tasted like a regular poutine with a bone thrown on top 🙁 it didn’t add any extra flavor, just an extra cost. The wings were decent but nothing I haven’t had before. It’s nice that there’s free parking, but overall, it didn’t live up to the hype

The food was all very good. We had nachos with chicken, marrow gravy poutine, wings, each of the chicken sandwiches, mac & cheese with buffalo chicken, cauliflower bites and some veggie bites. Our server was excellent, I haven't had service this well in a very long time and it was refreshing. I've felt for years that food service has been in a gradual decline but was pleasantly surprised in this case. Definitely deserving of a trip if you're in the mood for pub fare.

Good music, very cool decoration and design inside, amazing server and host, and the food was phenomenal. Likely the best wings I have had. The salad was unexpectedly crunchy, they put cooke
