I recently visited this restaurant and was curious to try something authentic. When I looked at the menu and couldn’t decide, I asked the owner for a recommendation. He suggested two traditional Egyptian dishes, which I decided to try. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was served in disposable containers. On top of that, we were charged extra for a couple of pickled vegetables that were placed on the side — something we never ordered. What was even more surprising was when I asked about the spices used in the dish, the owner said he didn’t know because a woman prepares the food elsewhere and he just heats it up in a microwave !!!!!!. That raised concerns about how fresh the food actually was — it could have easily been cooked a day or two before. Overall, the quality didn’t match the price at all. It felt more like reheated homemade food rather than a proper restaurant experience. Wouldn’t recommend.
