I've been coming to Al-Taib for the past two years as it's always been a go to spot because of its affordability and being on campus plus the staff is very friendly. But I was really disappointed today by the price increase. A plate from the hot bar used to cost me around $9–$11, maybe $13–$14 if I was getting a lot. Today, my plate came out to $19 with tip, and it didn’t even leave me full. The food has always been decent for the price, but at $19 for the big plate (and $15 for the small one), it just isn’t worth it anymore, especially when the chicken and rice were dry and cold. It seems like another affordable staple slipped away😔
