We dined at this restaurant after our Airbnb host recommended it. This restaurant by far exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing. All our dishes that we ordered were perfect. The bartender (Otis) was very quick and had a wonderful personality. We could see the chef working in the kitchen and he looked so passionate about all the dishes they were serving. We chatted with him afterwards and you could see and hear how much passion and love goes into his dishes. This restaurant will not disappoint! Make a reservation because it was quite busy and we got lucky for a couple seats at the bar.

Tucked into the historic charm of Old Port Montreal lies a Middle Eastern gem that effortlessly combines elegant ambiance with soulful cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm smiles, inviting music, and an interior that masterfully blends traditional design with modern, minimalist aesthetics. It’s the kind of space that makes you want to linger—whether you’re there for a full dinner or just a shared bite over cocktails. While the menu isn’t overwhelmingly vast, it’s clear that each item is curated with care and attention to detail. We ordered two standout dishes: the Jerusalem Artichokes and the Lamb Shank, and both delivered on flavor, texture, and presentation. The Jerusalem Artichokes arrived first—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and tossed in what appeared to be a house-made sauce, artfully drizzled with yogurt and what I believe was caviar, adding an unexpected and luxurious brininess. Served with warm, fluffy pita bread—which, to our delight, is unlimited—this dish was the perfect shared appetizer, offering layers of savory richness and a beautiful balance of textures. Next came the Lamb Shank, an impressive cut of meat served atop a bed of grains with a light garlic sauce that tied everything together. The lamb was expertly cooked—fall-off-the-bone tender with deep, aromatic spices that hinted at hours of slow braising. The grains soaked up the juices beautifully, turning the entire dish into a hearty, comforting, and truly satisfying main course. One of the most pleasant surprises was the generous portion size—each dish can comfortably serve two, making it ideal for sharing and sampling multiple items. Final thoughts: This restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a full sensory experience. With its aesthetic appeal, attentive staff, and bold, flavorful food, it’s the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re exploring Old Montreal for the first time or you’re a local looking to rediscover its culinary treasures, this spot absolutely deserves a visit.
