I recently visited Boustan and had a really satisfying experience. I ordered their Mixed Shawarma Bowl in the standard size ($17.99), and as part of their Monday deal, I also ordered the Junior Shawarma Bowl ($11.99). The store was fairly empty since it was evening, which gave me a chance to enjoy a quieter, more personal experience. The employees were friendly and attentive, ensuring my order was correct and making sure I had everything I needed. Video Review will be posted on Tik Tok @Foxy.appetite and Instagram @Foxyappetite soon In depth review: The Mixed Shawarma Bowl was delicious . The meat—combining both chicken and beef—was perfectly seasoned and tender, with just the right balance of spices. It was grilled to perfection and packed with flavor. The garlic potatoes, which I absolutely love, were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with the ideal amount of seasoning. They really added to the dish’s overall appeal. The garlic sauce and hummus were a perfect match for the meal, creamy and rich, complementing the meat and potatoes well. The fresh salad that came with the bowl was a nice touch, offering a refreshing contrast to the savory flavors of the shawarma and potatoes. Portion Size & Pricing: For $17.99, the Mixed Shawarma Bowl was a generous portion, but I also found the Junior Shawarma Bowl at $11.99 to be a great deal, especially as part of the Monday special. Both bowls provided great value for the quality of food, and the pricing felt fair for the portions and fresh ingredients. Service & Atmosphere: The atmosphere was quiet, and while Boustan is usually known for its busy, casual vibe, the evening visit allowed for a more relaxed experience. The staff was welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I appreciated that they took the time to ensure my order was right, which made me feel like a valued customer. Final Thoughts: Boustan continues to impress with its high-quality, flavorful Lebanese food. The Mixed Shawarma Bowl was delicious, and the Junior Shawarma Bowl was a great value, especially with the Monday special. The garlic potatoes were a standout, and the pairing of garlic sauce, hummus, and fresh salad created a well-rounded meal. With attentive service and a relaxed atmosphere on this particular evening, it was a great experience. If you’re in Montreal and craving flavorful, satisfying Lebanese food, Boustan is always a solid choice.
