Go there often. Great grilled meats & kofta. I like their spicy leek bread. Nice variety. Iftar buffet for very good price. Must reserve a day ahead. Iftar take out plates for $8.00! Ramadan

After finishing a workout nearby and having skipped supper, I decided to stop in at L’Afghan Grillade without doing any research beforehand—a decision I would quickly regret. The dining area itself is well laid out, brightly lit, and features interesting décor, which initially made me optimistic. Unfortunately, the positives ended there, and the experience went sharply downhill.
I ordered the shawarma sandwich trio, advertised outside on a large poster for $10.95 plus tax. However, I was charged $15 plus tax without any clear explanation. The disappointment didn’t stop there. The poster shows a generously stuffed shawarma, but what I received was a sandwich divided into two halves, each with two tiny pieces of meat and a generous helping of lettuce and French fries. It was, in all honesty, a lettuce and fry sandwich.
Despite only three other tables being occupied, several tables hadn’t been cleared, and no one seemed in any rush to clean them. I even had to change tables because the one I initially chose—labeled as “clean”—had grains of rice still on it. My meal took over 20 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, it was barely warm.
Taking a bite, the aroma of the meat immediately put me off. I ended up eating only the fries and drinking the soda before deciding enough was enough. With another shawarma spot just a block away, there’s no need to settle for this experience. I won’t forget to check Google reviews next time—and I certainly won’t be returning.

Went to this place as we were near by and wanted to try Afghan cuisine, so we asked the lady at cash counter as which authentic Afghan dish you suggest us because we are new to this place and first time trying Afghan cuisine and her reply was rude saying anything you try here is good Afghan dish!! So we ordered ashak (very sour) and Chicken tora bora (too dry).
In food business one has to explain the dish and try to serve them with happy face and not show attitude to customers.
Overall not a good experience here.
