I recently ordered chicken karahi from Barney's Karahiwala for the first time. I called ahead and asked about portion sizes, and the girl on the phone told me that a half portion serves two people. Based on that, I ordered two half portions. When I arrived to pick up the food, I discovered there's a "full" option that serves the same amount but costs $10 less. When I asked why I was being charged $60 instead of $50, her response was, "Oh, I packed it in two boxes." That was a bit cheeky, and honestly, I felt misled. She could've easily told me that a full portion was available and would save me money. The food itself was okay, naans were amazing —no complaints there—but I’m docking one star for the lack of transparency and upselling without informing the customer. A little honesty goes a long way.
