What people say about (Aneal's Taste Of The Islands)

Overall pretty good food and experience, no issues with seating. Food has more of a Trinidadian influence rather than Jamaican.
We ordered the stew oxtail, curried goat, curried chicken roti, and macaroni pie with BBQ chicken. The rice was deliciously seasoned, and the creamy coleslaw was excellent. The oxtail had fantastic flavor, though the pieces were cut quite small. The curried goat was good but not as tender as I prefer. The BBQ chicken was the standout—moist, flavorful, and slathered in BBQ sauce. The macaroni pie and chicken roti were a bit dry for my taste; I personally prefer more sauce. My husband really liked the wild boar.
The food was served in about 15 minutes- very reasonable. The owner himself served us, and he was incredibly friendly. However, I do wish he had mentioned the 2.4% credit card fee in advance.

I had the large stewed chicken from Aneal's Taste of the Islands, and let me tell you—this was true home-cooked Caribbean comfort at its finest. Every bite was rich with authentic, slow-cooked flavor, just like something you'd get straight from a Caribbean kitchen. The seasoning was spot on, the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the portions were more than generous.
But what really set this place apart was the exceptional customer service. Caribbean food spots don’t always get recognized for their service, but Aneal’s is different. The staff were warm, welcoming, and truly made you feel like family from the moment you walked in. They take pride in their food and their hospitality, and it shows.
If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food with amazing service, this is the spot. Aneal’s Taste of the Islands is a gem in Toronto, and I’ll definitely be back!
