What people say about (Le Casablanca)

Tabassum Promy

Situated in a very vibrant area. The ambiance was so nice. The food was so yum. Flavourful and very tender. I LOVED every bite of my plate. The only server, serving with a constant smile won our heart. The music, food and the outdoor shops was totally giving a Moroccan vibe. I never wanted to leave the place. Definitely a five star!

Hello, I didn’t quite understand your comment about “judging,” especially since I simply exercised my right to leave a review. I didn’t judge anyone personally, but since you’re asking why I gave only one star for the food, I’ll explain. The chicken tagine I ordered was extremely oily — it felt like I was eating a bowl of oil, as you can clearly see in the photo I shared. I wanted to try your food despite the negative recommendations I saw on Google, and after my visit, I even asked some friends who had been to your restaurant before. Unfortunately, they also didn’t enjoy the food. For that reason, my rating was based solely on the cuisine, not the service, which I found to be fine. Additionally, I called earlier around noon to ask if you had bessara. A woman answered and told me it was being prepared and would be ready by 4 PM. Based on that, I made the trip from Gatineau to Ottawa specifically for the soup. But when I arrived, a gentleman told me that there was no bessara and that it hadn’t even been made that day. So why lie to customers? Since I was already there, I decided to try the chicken tagine, but that also turned out to be a disappointment. Finally, I encourage you to focus on improving the food quality and professionalism. Everyone has the right to share their opinion, and I respectfully request a refund for this experience. Thank you

I liked the food, service, and the overall atmosphere. The owner also gave me a free cookie with a smile on his face which is priceless.
