1st Experience dining there. I had their grilled cheese sandwich on multigrain bread. It was worse than cardboard, with a terrible after taste. It was dry and actually gross. I hate to waste food, but I was comforted knowing that this isn't even edible. So I tossed it. That day, I also had a veggie chicken sandwich with their "special sauce" and veggies (tiny little pieces of tomato and onion are their "veggies"), with a tasteless "special sauce" that had about as much character as modern music. The bun was tiny and stale. But the price, well .. that was substantial! 2nd experience: I had a regular classic poutine on Friday, which is "poutine Friday" and at a cheaper price. This .. was good! The gravy was wonderful, rich. The fries were homemade and tasted like russet potatoes (like 5 guys). This poutine was substantial, it was full, filling, delicious .. no complaints! Which brings me to my ... 3rd experience: Today. It's Friday, which means ... poutine is on special! I order the same poutine, and it's yet even another dollar less than the special price last time because I came on happy hour. Cool. I won't complain .. again .. well, until I get the poutine. I get the poutine, and this time, it's almost half the size that it was the last time, with less fries and way less cheese curds. The fries tasted nothing like the dark homemade tasting fries I had last time. These fries tasted like frozen fries. A step down from any old fast food joint. I still ate it, as it wasn't "gross" like experience #1, but it was a real disappointment and I walked right out of there. Are these the corners they cut on happy hour? Perhaps they know what their doing, and as such, I docked them points on service. That said, it is a relaxed environment, pleasant, service is fine, but I do not appreciate when food businesses pull these shady maneuvers because they will rightfully just end up losing business with those who have self respect. I will not be back!
